The
highlight of both days was the big magic show of the magician Mr. Christelli
from Schwalmtal, Hessen. With breathtaking illusions he astonished the
audience. It could have been David Copperfield who pierced his companion with
a sword. Everybody was enthusiastic and at the same time relieved when she
left the box unhurt and even with a new dress. Standing ovations were the
reward for this lavishly designed magic show. |

The
highlight of the evening was the appearance of the well known magician Mr:
Christelli. He presented his amusing magic tricks humorously, relaxed and also
a little bit cheeky. He didn’t think of the audience as a marveling
decoration, but instead he skillfully involved it in the magic tricks. Mr.
Christelli already performed in Magic Castle – Hollywood and for Alfred
Biolek and he visited Siegfried and Roy in Las Vegas. It
was a very beautyful performance which you and your team have delivered –
all the criticisms I heard of were good ones – everybody was enthusiastic
– many people would have liked you to enchant them longer. Even today the
Gedeners are still puzzling about how your assistant was able to evade the
swords and – even more amazing – where and how she changed her dress. A
super trick. Mr.
Christelli enchanted young ones and old ones Magic
appearance in the JuTaBü – Balloons were the central theme of the program
– David-Copperfield-flair. When
20 Mark suddenly transform to 100 Mark, then you either made a wager on the
right horse at the derby or there is magic involved. Well, on Friday evening
the second was the case. In the Culture Barn Berfa, Mr. Christelli presented a
large number of amazing tricks to the audience during his truly enchanting
program. With
Mr. Christelli a real professional artist entered the Youth Talent Stage
(Ju-Ta-Bü), especiall since he has already performed at many places of the
world and for celebreties like Alfred Biolek and Siegfried and Roy. During the
entering, with the soundtrack of Vangelis – Conquest of Paradise,
one already noticed that Mr. Christelli is an artist who knows how to
display his abilities. Professionally and energetic he entered the stage,
presented his program with a refreshing mix of eloquence and spontanity and
proofed that his abilities are not limited to a perfect entering. Whether he
produced a glass of beer from his shoe, or transformed a piece of string into
cloth, or produced a rain of 5 Mark coins or even made a 20 Mark bill vanish
– the audience didn’t cease marveling at the show. One was especially
amazed when right that 20 Mark bill which just vanished
reappeared inside of a balloon, which Mr. Christelli had just inflated.
By the way, balloons were the central theme of Mr. Christelli’s program. For
example he rewarded with a balloon all of the numerous assistants from the
audience, which he integrated skillfully into his program. Now and then he
choosed one from the audience to assist him with a trick, providing much
transparencecy. But the balloons were no ordinary ones. Within seconds and
with a few moves the magician changed a simple long balloon into the funniest
animal figures, always producing laughter from the spectators. In the second part of the program the astonishment continued. Mr. Christelli showed the audience three cards – one red and the other two black. Then, with the front sides hidden, he changed the positions of the cards with a few slow moves. Then he asked the audience to guess where the red card is. Of course the spectators were always wrong. Because of the similar character of some “hat-games” on the street Mr. Christelli gave after the trick a logical advise: “Do never gamble for money with strangers.” Mr. Christelli stilled the curiosity of the audience by letting the spectators in on a single trick. However, he emphasized that with the revelation of tricks “the best part of magic is lost”, the illusion – a statement with which the audience agreed wholeheartedly . After some other amazing tricks – Mr. Christelli even temporarily developed clairvoyant abilities: he knew beforehand the order in which a spectator would create a sequence of symbols – the magician finished his program with a classical spectacular trick: the women pierced by swords who shortly afterwards climbed out of the box, uninjured. So two hours of David-Copperfield-flair ended at last with breathtaking pyrotech and the long lasting applause of the audience. Reference:
